Homecoming dates

Bellport High School will be hosting their homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 26, starting with a float parade down Main Street in Bellport Village and ending with the football game vs. Smithtown East at 2 p.m.

Homecoming activities for William Floyd High School begin on Friday, Oct. 25, with the in-school pep rally and the evening dance. Then on Saturday, Oct. 26, the parade starts at 11:15 a.m., with school and community groups marching from the high school to the Lincoln Avenue Athletic Complex. The  crowning will take place on the football field at noon and then the game starts at 1 p.m. as the Colonials take on Walt Whitman. The homecoming theme this year is “Starry Night.”

Patchogue-Medford High School will kick-off homecoming day, Saturday, Oct. 19, with a float parade at the Four Corners on the intersection of Main Street and South Ocean Avenue. The parade will then proceed east to Rider Avenue starting at 9:30 a.m.

Former district clerk Dennis Logan has also been selected as the first-ever grand marshal of the Pat-Med Homecoming Parade. He retired after 17 years as clerk earlier this year.

The high school’s skits will then take place at 11:45 a.m. in the Patchogue-Medford High School auditorium. The varsity football game against Bay Shore High School will take place at Raider Stadium at 2:30 p.m.
